About me

Simba’s love for animals started from a young age in Zambia, when his parents introduced him to the family's dogs. This passion continued throughout Simba's life, whilst being raised in York, and this is where he started his horse riding journey. Alongside his studies and part time work, Simba took every opportunity to work with and be surrounded by animals. This included, volunteering at a local livery yard and riding school, volunteering for the Riding for the disabled Association (RDA), and shadowing canine hydrotherapy sessions.

Simba took a particular interest in post injury and post surgery rehabilitation, as he wanted to follow each patient's journey until the issue at hand is resolved. This led to him moving to Warwickshire to study at Moreton Morrell College, where he graduated with a Bsc (Hons) degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. This degree is accredited by Coventry University. Since completing his studies and moving back to York, Simba has developed a profound sense of achievement from being out in practice and improving the quality of life for each of his patients.

Simba is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), the NAVP was set up in 1985 to promote the professional practice of Veterinary Physiotherapy, and it aims to ensure the highest standard of care for each patient. This is done by utilising scientific knowledge gained from continuous research, and applying it within clinical practice.
